Earlier this week my husband and I were out and spotted a Nordic Trak elliptical trainer put out at the side of the road as trash. It was in great shape and looked like it hard hardly been used. Since that's my favorite machine to use at a gym, my husband picked it up for me. We thought it might be broken but since he's handy he could fix it. As it turns out there is absolutely nothing wrong with it, other than it needed batteries and a new pulse-reader (a plug-in type that you can buy for a few bucks in a sports authority or similar store). Then when we looked it up online, the model was the equivalent (maybe only a year or so older) to ones that originally sold for around $800-900! We got it for just the cost of batteries and a new pulse meter, and the effort to take it home.
