We review Poster-A-Page Books
An Easy and Unique Stocking Stuffer Idea
by Paige Estigarribia
The Dollar Stretcher was sent 3 different Poster-A-Page titles to facilitate this review. The Dollar Stretcher received no compensation for this review. The opinions in this article are those of the author.
I'll admit that every year, sometimes I struggle with finding stocking stuffers that go beyond typical candy, new toothbrushes, boxes of crayons, or fruit. Yes, my kids are always happy to receive these, but each year, I try to include a few different things in their stockings for surprise smiles. So when we were contacted to review Disney's Poster-A-Page books before the holidays, it seemed like a great stocking stuffer possibility. My kids totally love both posters and books...seriously a perfect combo!
Poster-A-Page books were designed to be not only books, but pull-out posters too! The books offer stories and sayings from character favorites, as well as fantastic pictures that can be posters, and large pull-out posters that kids can use for decoration. Some characters in these different Poster-A-Page books include Frozen, Star Wars, Disney Junior, Disney Princesses, and Marvel Avengers...just to name a few! The Poster-A-Page series is geared for kids ages 4-12, and it is such a unique way for kids to really interact with their favorite characters. They can literally pull the book apart and decorate with the pages!
We were sent three books to review: Disney Frozen: Magical Moments, Star Wars Episodes I-VI: The Skywalker Saga, and Disney Junior: Let's Play! Each book includes stories and sayings, plus 9 pull-out posters. And each page of the book can also be a poster that kids can hang up too! My kids were beyond thrilled to receive these, and they immediately began looking at all the pages and planning which posters would go where in their rooms.
As for a possible stocking stuffer, they are about the size of a typical coloring book, and a little thicker, so depending on the size of your stocking, you could probably roll it partially and fit it right in. My kids were entertained for hours looking through the books and choosing which posters to hang. One thing to think about however, is the fact that kids will be decorating with these. You'll want to decide where they will decorate (on walls, doors, as book covers etc) and how they will adhere the posters (scotch tape or other medium). I'm getting ready to repaint my kids' rooms, so I didn't mind that they used scotch tape and hung them...but if the walls were freshly painted, I might have been researching other ways for them to hang them up. The books typically retail for $12.95, and you can find them at Amazon, or anywhere books are sold.
In our opinion, these Poster-A-Page books are great options for gifts or stocking stuffers.
