Have you searched for snacks on the snack aisles at the grocery store, only to find snacks that aren't that healthy? Or have you had trouble choosing tasty and healthy picnic or lunch treats? Or maybe you have a picky eater in your family, and you have to try and choose treats made up of real veggies and fruits that taste good too? If these scenarios sound familiar, Veggie-Go's might be a great option for healthy treats. We got the chance to review four flavors of their fruit and veggie snacks, and here's what we thought:
A Little About Veggie-Go's Fruit and Veggie Snacks
Veggie-Go's are fruit leather snacks with both fruits and veggies included. The snacks each have half a serving of fruit and a half serving of veggies too! There are four different flavors, and we all tried all four of them. They are a small, snack-sized serving great for lunchboxes or take-along treats.
What We Liked About Veggie-Go's
There were several things we liked about Veggie-Go's, with the first being that the snacks are made up of true fruits and veggies. If you are looking for healthy lunch treats, these are the perfect size for a small, fruity treat during a lunch or snack break. We especially liked the Sweet Potato, Apple, and Spices snack, and we also enjoyed the Berries, Spinach, and Apples too. These treats were a great blend of fruits and veggies that were tasty too!
What to Think About Before Buying Veggie-Go's
If you enjoy fruit snacks, or the texture of fruit leathers, these treats will be great for you to try. Depending on our own taste buds and opinions, a few of us preferred some flavors over others. Not everyone's opinions were the same, but overall 3 out of four of us DollarStretchers thought most of the snacks were tasty. Like most foods, our tastes and preferences will vary, so you will want to try out the ones that you think you might like, to see if they will work for you.
And that's it! If you're looking a healthy option for lunches or a picnic, why not give Veggie-Go's a try?
