Are you just a little bit short at the end of the month? Would a few extra dollars make life a little easier? Then consider making a little extra money on your phone or tablet. The phrase "there's an app for everything" is true. Well, at least it's true when it comes to money-making opportunities. So if you have a little extra time and your phone is handy, give this list a look for a few opportunities right on your screen. (Fair disclosure: The Dollar Stretcher has an affiliate relationship with some of these companies.)
Ibotta is a site that allows you read information, watch videos, and other actions so that you can earn money back on things for which you typically shop. You take a picture of your receipt and send it to Ibotta, and they allow for up to $40 cash back per shopping trip! If you sign up through our affiliate link, you earn $5 dollars just for registering!
MyPoints is a rewards site where you can take surveys, shop, read emails, and do other different things to earn points. When you hit enough points, you can redeem them for gift cards. You can use the gift cards to buy anything you want or need. And MyPoints offers gift cards for many different merchants! If you're unfamiliar with MyPoints, check them out and consider signing up here.
Swagbucks is another site where you can earn money for doing things that you already do on the web. Searching online, taking surveys, and playing games are just a few of the activities that you can do to earn "swagbucks." These swagbucks can then be redeemed for gift cards or PayPal cash! If you sign up through our affiliate link, you'll get $5 in swagbucks!
Ebates is a shopping portal where you can browse different stores, and when you shop through Ebates, you can earn cash back! Every store is different regarding how much cash back they offer and for what items, but if you are an online shopper, you should definitely consider the cash back options at Ebates. It costs nothing but a second of your time. And if you haven't signed up yet, check out our affiliate link!
Swap.com is an online consignment website where you can buy and sell quality used clothing. If you refer a friend, you can also get $20 site credit each time a friend makes their first purchase. So not only can you sell your used clothing in excellent shape, but you can also earn credits too!
Gympact is an interesting app because it not only pays you when you reach your goals, but it also helps as motivation to keep you at your goals. You get paid when you work out, but the motivation comes because you have to pay a fee when you don't work out. That money is used to pay those that do end up working out.
EasyShift is an app that allows you to complete certain tasks, like snapping pictures, eating, shopping and exploring. The tasks are easy, and you can pick and choose which to do.
Receipt Hog is an interesting app because you can earn just by taking photos of your receipts and uploading them. When you submit qualifying receipts, you can earn coins or spins at the Hog Slots. When you spin, you have the chance to win more coins or even your grocery trip paid in full!
Shopkick is a rewards app that users can download. It shows you the best deals in participating stores, and it will even reward users with kicks for walking in the door. Users can earn additional kicks for scanning items and purchasing them. The kicks can be redeemed for gift cards.
Perk is an available app where users can download and earn rewards for everyday activities, including shopping, watching videos, and playing games. Users can then trade in these rewards points for gift cards and cash.
Unique Rewards is another app that offers many different ways to earn, including taking surveys online, completing offers, shopping, reading emails, and many others. Members earn cash as the reward.
So the next time you have a little extra time earning extra rewards or cash can be just an app away. You could check Facebook, Twitter or Instagram. Or you could make a dollar or two? Your choice!
