Advice from Mom: Don't Toss It Out!

Sometimes you need to stop and think a moment before throwing out that food item you had stashed in the back of the refrigerator or cupboard. What can it be used for now? Here's a few ideas for you:

  • Use SOUR MILK to make pancake batter.

  • Turn STALE BREAD into bread pudding.

  • Make banana bread with OVERRIPE BANANAS.

  • Use OLD WINE to dilute wine vinegars that are too strong.

  • Crush STALE CORN FLAKES and use them as flour in cookie recipes.

  • Use DRIED-UP POUND CAKE to make French toast.
