  • 2 cups elbow macaroni

  • 3/4 lb imitation crab

  • 1 T. lemon juice

  • 3 T. margarine

  • 3 T. flour

  • 1 1/2 cup. milk

  • 1/2 t. salt

  • 1/4 t. pepper

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1 t. dry mustard

  • 1 cup peas

Cook macaroni according to package directions, drain. In small bowl, mix imitation crab with lemon juice, set aside.

In medium sauce pan over medium-high heat melt margarine; add flour and stir to form roux. Stir in milk slowly, add salt and pepper. Bring to boil and boil until sauce thickens. Mix 1/2 cup sauce with imitation crab.

In lightly greased 2 quart casserole, mix remaining sauce with macaroni, cheese, mustard and peas. Top with crab mixture, cover, and bake in 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, or until bubbly. Total cost is $3.00
