Using Less!
I recently read the tip about making your own homemade, long lasting dryer sheet to save money. If you still prefer the convenience of purchased dryer sheets, you can easily cut the cost of these in half, by actually cutting the sheets in half. Just use half a sheet, even for large loads. Your clothes will be just as soft, smell as nice, and static electricity will still be eliminated. I have found this to be true with many different types of household products, using less works just as well. It costs nothing to experiment, and you'll save money in the long run.

Saving on Product Usage
I use paper towels only for the messiest projects, so I buy less often. The only one I can think of now is what to do with oil/grease from a pan. I wait until it totally congeals, then rub it out with a paper towel and discard the towel. For wiping up liquids, I use a cloth towel from a color set that I keep for this purpose. I just dry it out and use a second one until the first one dries.

Reducing Cost
What small things do you do to keep the costs down? One of mine is to flatten the roll of toilet paper to keep it from turning too easily!

Homemade Will Save Money
I notice that you never mention the fact that there is an alternative to the household products that we purchase from the grocery store. There are many uses for baking soda and white vinegar.
Baking soda works well to clean a stainless steel sink. Sprinkle it on your carpet to deodorize it.
White vinegar and water will disinfect children’s toys and doesn't have the odor and residue of bleach.

More Homemade!
Baking soda and peppermint oil makes a great toothpaste for pennies. Baby oil and sugar make a luxurious body scrub. Baby oil is great as a moisturizing body lotion. Use vinegar to rinse hair. There are many more. The Internet is a great resource for making your own toiletries.
